BIOGRAPHY

Serghei Spivac is a Moldovan-born mixed martial artist, who currently fights in the heavyweight division of the UFC. He was born on May 11th, 1997, in Chisinau, Moldova and began his career as an amateur MMA fighter before turning pro in 2016.

Spivac trains at Mixed Martial Arts School (MMA) located in Chisinau and is a member of the Cossack MMA team. In addition to training with MMA school he has also trained with American Kickboxing Academy (AKA), home to some of the world’s top fighters including Cain Velasquez and Daniel Cormier.

Spivac made his professional debut by competing for M-1 Challenge 2016 where he defeated Maxim Kazakov by first round knockout. He went on to fight for two more M-1 promotion events before signing with UFC in 2019.

In his first bout inside the octagon Spivac faced Marcin Tybura at UFC Fight Night 149 and won via unanimous decision after three rounds of action. This win earned him “Performance of The Night” bonus award from UFC matchmakers, which marked his successful entrance into UFC roster as well as increasing interest around him as potential title contender within heavyweight division His next fight was against Tai Tuivasa at Ultimate Fighting Championship 241: Cormier vs Miocic 2 where he won again by unanimous decision over three rounds – once again earning himself “Performance Of The Night” bonus award from matchmakers .
