Jared Vanderaa

Jared Vanderaa is a professional mixed martial artist and grappler who currently competes in the UFC’s heavyweight division. He was born on October 17th, 1993 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin and began training at age 16. After high school he earned a degree from Winona State University with a major in exercise science. He then furthered his education by obtaining his Personal Training Certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).

Vanderaa has been competing professionally since 2014, racking up an impressive 9-4 record across various promotions including XFN MMA and Cage Fury FC. In 2019 he signed with the UFC where he won his debut match against Justin Tafa via unanimous decision. Since then, he has gone 2-3 overall while competing amongst some of the best heavyweights in the world such as Augusto Sakai and Sergey Spivak.

When it comes to grappling, Jared holds various titles including NAGA World Middleweight Champion and No Gi Pan American Champion at both middleweight & absolute divisions (2015). His accolades also include several gold medals for submission wrestling at Submission Underground events held by Fight2Win Pro & FloGrappling Super League tournaments hosted by Grapplefest UK among other organizations from around the globe Moreover, Jared has been featured on numerous podcasts discussing topics related to fitness/nutrition as well as martial arts philosophy which further solidifies him as one of MMA’s most exciting prospects .

Additionally , Jared loves giving back when possible by helping out disadvantaged children with equipment/supplies needed for physical activities whenever time allows otherwise working with local charities such as Habitat For Humanity or Feeding America .
