BIOGRAPHY

Miranda Maverick is an American mixed martial artist currently signed with the UFC. She competes in the flyweight division and is a member of Team Alpha Male.

Maverick started her combat sports career when she began training jiu-jitsu at age 14, eventually competing in grappling tournaments. Inspired by her father’s passion for MMA, Maverick decided to make the transition to mixed martial arts and began training with local gyms in Pennsylvania before moving to California after high school graduation.

Maverick made her professional debut in 2016 when she fought Jessica Doerner at MPFC 8 – Purge VIII winning via TKO just two minutes into the first round. She went on to win several more fights, including victories over Kelly D’Angelo and Kaitlyn Chookagian before signing with Invicta FC where she won three more fights including a unanimous decision victory over Pearl Gonzalez that earned her a title shot against Vanessa Porto which ended up being postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions.

In 2021, Maverick signed with the UFC where she holds a 2-1 record as of April 2021; most recently defeating Mariya Agapova via arm triangle choke submission at UFC Fight Night 186 on March 20th of this year. This marked 3 wins for “Danger” within one calendar year – proving she can hang with anyone inside The Octagon™️ .
