BIOGRAPHY

Da Woon Jung is a highly-accomplished martial artist and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter from South Korea. He is known for his dynamic and aggressive style of fighting, combining a mixture of striking, grappling and submission techniques to take down opponents.

Born in Busan, South Korea in 1993, Da Woon started training Taekwondo traditional Korean martial art at the age of six. Under the tutelage of both his father and grandfather he quickly began developing his skills as an athlete. After competing in numerous local tournaments throughout his teenage years it was clear that there was something special about him when it came to combat sports.

At the age of eighteen he decided to move abroad to start training MMA professionally; after exploring various academies around the world he eventually settled on Blackzilians camp in Florida USA where he trained under Neil Melanson and Mark DellaGrotte for two years until 2014 winning several amateur bouts along the way. In 2016 Da Woon made his professional debut as part of UFC Fight Night 96 against Alejandro Perez which marked an impressive first fight for him as he won via unanimous decision – thus securing himself a spot among other elite fighters within UFC’s roster.

Since then Da Woon has fought nine more times inside the octagon with seven wins out of them including notable victories over number 5 ranked featherweight fighter Renato Moicano at UFC Fight Night 135, Cub Swanson at UFC Fight Night 164 and most recently Charles Jourdain at UFN 183 – where Jung showcased some hard-hitting standup mixed with excellent ground transitions earning himself Performance Of The Night bonus award along with “Fight Of The Night” honourable mention by Dana White President & CEO of Ultimate Fighting Championship organization itself!

Outside competitive career Da Woon is a very humble individual who loves spending time teaching children various aspects about Martial Arts such as discipline and respect which helps them grow into strong adults later on in life; just like how it happened for him thanks to early guidance from both parents growing up back home in South Korea before leaving everything behind chasing dream becoming one best MMA fighters today!
