Cody Stamann is an American Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter currently competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He was born on August 23, 1988 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and began training in MMA at the age of 16. He attended Northview High School where he was a state champion wrestler and later went on to compete as an amateur MMA fighter while attending Ferris State University.
Stamman’s professional career began in 2012 when he won his first fight by unanimous decision over Chris Boffil at XFO Midwest Open 6. After two more wins, he signed with World Series of Fighting (WSOF) where he won all 5 fights before making his UFC debut against Terrion Ware at UFC Fight Night 133 in 2018 which he won by unanimous decision. Since then, Stamann has gone 5-1- 1 record inside the octagon facing opponents including Brian Kelleher, Alejandro Perez and most recently Jimmie Rivera whom he defeated by split decision.
Outside of the octagon, Cody is a very active member within his community volunteering for organizations such as Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and The Grand Rapids Education Foundation to help support local education initiatives. When not training or fighting, Cody enjoys spending time outdoors with activities such as fishing or hunting.
To date Cody has had 11 fights under his belt with 9 wins 2 losses 1 draw along with one performance bonus award from UFC 226 back in 2018 for “Fight of The Night” honors illustrating him as one of the most exciting fighters currently competing within UFC today .
