BIOGRAPHY

Brad Riddell is a professional mixed martial artist from New Zealand. He currently competes in the featherweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Prior to joining UFC, Riddell competed for various promotions such as Powerplay MMA, Cage Warriors Fighting Championship and Venator FC.

Riddell was born on October 27, 1990 in Auckland, New Zealand. Growing up he was heavily interested in sports and athletics since his early youth days which included playing rugby union at school level. In 2012, he started training kickboxing and Muay Thai after being inspired by one of his friends who already trained the martial art form. His impressive performances during fights earned him invitations to various prestigious kickboxing tournaments around Europe such as Glory Kickboxing series where he went on to become a champion at 77kg weight class tournament held in 2016 in Spain.

In 2018 after multiple successful wins on both local and international stages, Riddell decided to take his career one step further by transitioning into mixed martial arts with an aim of competing under the UFC banner one day. His debut fight took place under Powerplay MMA promotion where he won against his opponent via submission within first round itself displaying remarkable grappling skills along with crisp striking combinations that led him towards victory lane eventually leaving no doubt among fans and pundits alike about what kind of potential this guy had hidden inside his hands ready to be unleashed onto bigger platforms like UFC soon enough.
