Bill Algeo

Bill Algeo is an American professional mixed martial artist who currently competes in the Featherweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He is known for his aggressive style and powerful striking, as well as for being a former wrestling champion. Algeo was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He began training MMA at age 18 after discovering it during high school wrestling practice. Since then, he has developed into a complete mixed martial artist with impressive skills both in stand-up and on the ground.

Algeo made his professional debut in 2012 under the PRO FC promotion, where he went 4-1 before moving onto larger organizations such as Bellator MMA and Cage Fury Fighting Championships. In 2016, he signed with CFFC to become their inaugural featherweight champion by winning three consecutive bouts against notable opponents such as Leonardo Deshaun Brownlee and Deven Durham. Following this victory streak, Algeo signed with Brave Combat Federation where he became their third lightweight world champion by defeating Luis Gomez via unanimous decision at BRAVE 21: Bahrain’s Future Champions event held in April 2018.

In 2019, Bill Algeo transitioned from regional promotions to international stardom when he joined the Ultimate Fighting Championship roster later that year after signing a four-fight deal with UFC Fight Night 164 – Mexico City card headlined by Yair Rodriguez vs Jeremy Stephens bout on November 2nd . He made his promotional debut against Spike Carlyle at UFC Fight Night 176 on September 12th 2020 where unfortunately lost via split decision but bounced back winning three of his next fights against Ricardo Ramos , Zhalgas Zhumagulov & Jordan Griffin respectively securing himself an 8 fight contract extension which proves that ufc saw potentials hidden inside him even though it was hard win streaks came together recently only after losing two initial starting fights post joining ufc

Apart from fighting , bill algo loves spending time outdoors doing activities like running , fishing or swimming . Although bills early twenties were dedicated largely to finding success inside octagon or cage but due to injury breaks between numerous fights , algo graduated college successfully last year after completing Bachelor’s degree majoring business studies .
