Amanda Ribas

Amanda Ribas is a Brazilian mixed martial artist from Varginha, Brazil, born August 26, 1993. A judo-based fighter, she began training young under her father, martial-arts coach Marcelo Ribas, and competed on a Brazilian national judo youth team before turning her attention to MMA. Ribas won gold at the 2014 IMMAF Amateur MMA World Championships in the women’s flyweight class, a formative international achievement before her professional career.

Ribas made her UFC debut on June 29, 2019, submitting Emily Whitmire with a rear-naked choke. Her UFC career has included appearances at both strawweight and flyweight, with a style rooted in judo and supplemented by active grappling, submissions and willing exchanges. She also received clearance to resume competition on May 3, 2019, after USADA reduced her earlier sanction and ended her ineligibility immediately.

As of September 10, 2026, UFC’s published list of Brazilian athletes under contract includes Amanda Ribas in the women’s strawweight division, confirming that she remains an active UFC athlete.
