BIOGRAPHY

Diego Ferreira is an accomplished mixed martial arts fighter currently competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Born and raised in Goiania, Brazil, Diego began learning Brazilian jiu-jitsu from a young age. He quickly developed into a talented MMA practitioner and has since gone on to become one of the top fighters in the lightweight division.

Before joining UFC, Diego had achieved success at lower levels of competition. He went undefeated as an amateur, winning seven matches before becoming a professional fighter. After turning professional, he joined Jungle Fight promotion where he was able to hone his skills further and eventually earn himself a spot on UFC’s roster.

Since joining UFC in 2014, Diego has consistently shown why many consider him to be one of the most formidable fighters currently competing within the organization. In his debut fight against Ramsey Nijem at The Ultimate Fighter: Team Edgar vs Team Penn Finale event, Diego earned himself his first win by way of submission due to rear naked choke just two minutes into the second round; immediately making it clear that he was someone capable of delivering when pressure mounted during fights.
