Rasheen Ali, born on February 16, 2001, is a distinguished American professional football player occupying the position of running back for the Baltimore Ravens in the prestigious National Football League (NFL). Rasheen’s foray into football began in Cleveland, Ohio, where he spent his childhood days. He attended Shaker Heights High School in Shaker Heights, Ohio, where he first exhibited his talent for football. Despite only being rated a three-star recruit at the time, he caught the attention of college scouts who saw his potential for greatness. Disregarding an offer from Hampton, he committed himself to playing college football at Michael. This decision set the stage for his melodramatic journey in the world of football.

In his freshman year at Marshall in 2020, Ali was given the opportunity to display his skills in six important matches. Despite the limited game-time, he managed to record 22 rushing yards on five carries and exhibited remarkable dexterity with 76 kick return yards under his belt.

His breakthrough came the following season in 2021. Ali’s remarkable agility enabled him to become one of the country’s standout running backs. He concluded the season with a staggering 1,401 yards and 23 touchdowns on 250 carries. His electrifying performances brought him recognition both locally and nationally, gaining him a named place on the Maxwell Football Club’s Freshman of the Year Watch List. He was further celebrated as the Team MVP, an All-Conference USA First Team selection, and a FWAA Freshman All-American.

However, like many sports starlets, Ali was not immune to the challenges that come with professional football. During the 2022 season, he was sidelined by an injury that necessitated a medical redshirt. Despite the setback, Ali refused to wave the white flag. He made a comeback in the season’s last three games, finishing with a commendable 273 rushing yards and one touchdowns. Subsequently, his exceptional performance in the 2022 Myrtle Beach Bowl earned him the title of MVP as he tore through the defence, making 92 rushing yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. His impressive comeback saw him listed on the Doak Walker Award Watch List and the Maxwell Award Watch List.

In the 2023 season, Ali once again demonstrated his dominion over the football field in a game against Virginia Tech in Week 4. His speed and agility brought him 180 yards and two touchdowns, leading the team to an exciting victory. The extraordinary display earned him the Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week title. The same season, he was also selected for the 2024 Senior Bowl. Unfortunately, he suffered a biceps tendon rupture in the Senior Bowl practices and couldn’t play the actual game.

The 2024 NFL draft marked a pivotal point in Ali’s career as he was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the fifth round (165th overall). His transition to the NFL was not without obstacles. A neck injury led to him being placed on injured reserve on September 5. Nonetheless, he made a triumphant return on October 12, showcasing his skills in a season debut exclusively on special teams in Week 6 against the Washington Commanders.
