A Shreveport, Louisiana, native, Washington played at Evangel Christian Academy before attending TCU from 2018 through 2020. He developed into an accomplished college safety, earning Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year and Freshman All-America recognition in 2019. Washington received honorable-mention All-Big 12 honors the following season before beginning his professional career.

Washington was not selected in the 2021 NFL Draft and signed with Baltimore as a rookie free agent on May 13, 2021. Injuries and practice-squad time complicated his early seasons, but he eventually earned a significant role in the Ravens’ secondary.
