Lamar Jackson

Lamar Jackson, born Lamar Demeatrice Jackson Jr., is an American football quarterback who currently plays for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted with the 32nd overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by Baltimore after playing college football at Louisville. At Louisville, he won numerous awards including a Heisman Trophy and Maxwell Award in 2016 as well as four ACC Player of the Year honors.

Jackson attended Boynton Beach High School where he excelled at both football and baseball while also participating in track & field. During his senior year, he passed for 2,019 yards and ran for 1,033 more with 23 total touchdowns to lead his team to an 8–3 record on their way to a district championship. Following his high school career, Jackson chose Louisville over offers from Florida State University and Nebraska among others due to its strong running game system which allowed him greater freedom with play calling than other programs offered.
