Jahmyr Gibbs

Jahmyr Gibbs is a professional NFL running back who currently plays for the Atlanta Falcons. He was born on June 26, 1999 in Rome, Georgia and played college football at the University of North Carolina.

Gibbs began his career as a high school standout at Rome High School where he was named an All-State selection in both 2017 and 2018 by multiple recruiting services. In his senior year, he rushed for 1,814 yards and 29 touchdowns to earn him Georgia’s Mr. Football Award Runner-Up honors among other accolades. Following his success in high school, Gibbs committed to playing college football at the University of North Carolina due to their academic excellence as well as providing an opportunity to play running back which had been denied him by several other major universities such as Clemson and Georgia.

At UNC, Jahmyr Gibbs did not disappoint with one of the most productive freshman seasons ever for a Tar Heels’ running back since 2010 when Gio Bernard earned Freshman All-American honor that same year. During this season Jahmyr earned ACC Offensive Rookie of the Year honours after leading all freshmen with 964 rushing yards along with eight touchdowns helping UNC achieve nine wins throughout the season—the most they had seen in years prior to his arrival!
