BIOGRAPHY

Graham Michael Glasgow, the accomplished American professional football guard, born August 19, 1992, has built an illustrious career in the National Football League (NFL). Currently, Glasgow plays for Detroit Lions, but he has also left a mark on Denver Broncos.

Glasgow’s passion for football was always palpable. His collegiate journey started at Michigan, where he played as a walk-on in 2011. A turning point arrived in 2013 when, demonstrating his prowess on the field during spring practice, he earned a scholarship, marking the start of his rise in the ranks of Michigan football. In his time at Michigan, Glasgow participated in a total of 42 career games wherein he graced the offensive line. Out of these, he clinched an impressive 37 starting assignments, making 22 starts at center, and 15 at guard position.

His robust performances led to an acknowledgment by his team as the Hugh R. Rader Memorial Award recipient, an honor marking him as the top offensive lineman. Glasgow’s exceptional talent also earned him an honorable mention in the All-Big Ten Conference accolades by coaches and media alike.

Completing a satisfactory flight at Michigan, Glasgow stood as a promising prospect for the NFL Draft in 2016. Analyzing his skills, some experts predicted his selection in the third or fourth round of the Draft. Additionally, NFLDraftScout.com ranked him eight-best offensive guard out of the 203 available. Their predictions rang true when he was selected by Detroit Lions in the third round, with the 95th overall pick.

Meanwhile, in 2017, Glasgow secured the spot of starting left guard, and managed to play all 16 games of the season. The next year, following the exit of Travis Swanson, Glasgow was assigned as the starting center, proving his adaptability and versatility.

His career took an upwards trajectory when in 2019, he managed to start in all the 15 games he played. Then, in 2020, a four-year $44 million contract with the Denver Broncos signed Glasgow onto the team. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Glasgow had to be placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list by the team, and was activated in November of the same year.

After recovering from an ankle injury suffered in the Week 9 of the 2021 season, Glasgow made a comeback, appearing in all 17 games and starting 13 in the 2022 season. Nevertheless, in March 2023, Glasgow was let go by the Broncos. A week later, he rejoined the Lions and had a successful 2023 season—most of it at right guard position.

In his personal life, Glasgow is married to Allison Davis and maintains an active family involvement in football. His younger brother, Ryan Glasgow, was his teammate at Michigan and formerly played for the New Orleans Saints. Jordan Glasgow, Graham’s second younger brother, was a linebacker for the Indianapolis Colts. However, his promising career saw a major setback in 2014 when Glasgow was arrested for driving under the influence, leading him to one year of probation, community service, and fines. A year later, he violated his probation and had six months added to it.

In addition to his NFL career, Glasgow reveals an interest in the esport industry. In April 2022, Glasgow became part-owner of an esports organization, Limitless, which boasts teams in popular games like Rocket League, Valorant, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Overall, Graham Glasgow is a testament to the dynamic nature of professional athletes, demonstrating an admirable blend of sporting prowess, resilience, and entrepreneurial ambition.
