Delarrin Turner-Yell is an American football safety who entered the NFL when the Denver Broncos selected him in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, 152nd overall. Born December 16, 1999, in Hempstead, Texas, he attended Hempstead High School and earned District 12-3A Defensive MVP recognition as a junior before playing college football at Oklahoma.
Turner-Yell played for the Sooners from 2018 through 2021, moving from a freshman role into the starting secondary. His final college season brought second-team All-Big 12 recognition from the conference's coaches and second-team Academic All-Big 12 honors. He majored in human relations at Oklahoma.
His early professional role centered on special teams. During his 2022 rookie season with Denver, he contributed on coverage units and recovered a muffed punt against Carolina that helped set up a field goal. By December 2023, the Broncos described him as an important special-teams contributor and a source of depth in their secondary. Denver waived him on August 26, 2025, then signed him to its practice squad on August 27, 2025.
