David Sharpe Bio
David Sharpe is an American football offensive tackle from Jacksonville, Florida, born October 21, 1995. Listed at 6-foot-6 and 343 pounds, he played college football at Florida from 2014 through 2016. Sharpe established himself at left tackle for the Gators, earning a regular role across his final two seasons and helping the program reach two SEC Championship Games during his time in Gainesville.
The Oakland Raiders selected David Sharpe in the fourth round, 129th overall, of the 2017 NFL Draft. His NFL path has included stints with the Raiders, Texans, Washington, Ravens, Panthers, Chargers and Steelers organizations. The Chargers signed him in August 2025, and Pittsburgh later added him to its practice squad in December 2025. The Steelers’ transaction log records that Sharpe was released from that practice squad on January 6, 2026; that is his latest verified team transaction as of September 14, 2026.
Sharpe has been used as a tackle whose size, length and strength are central to his blocking profile.
