Kyle Anderson

Kyle Anderson is an American professional basketball player for the Memphis Grizzlies of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was drafted by the San Antonio Spurs with the 30th overall pick in 2014 NBA Draft.

Anderson grew up in Jersey City, New Jersey where he attended St. Anthony High School under Hall of Fame coach Bob Hurley Sr. As a senior, Anderson led his team to a 32-0 record and a mythical national high school basketball championship while being named Gatorade Player of Year and McDonald’s All-American MVP among other honors. Following high school, Anderson declared for the NBA Draft and was selected with he 30th overall pick by the San Antonio Spurs.

In his rookie season, Anderson split time between both D League affiliate Austin Toros and on court action with San Antonio Spurs where he earned some meaningful minutes off bench due to injury struggles faced by starting small forward Kawhi Leonard . In 78 regular season games during that campaign, Kyle averaged 3 points 4 rebounds 1 assist in 11 minutes per game. His most productive game came against Houston Rockets where he put up 13 points 8 rebounds 7 assists on December 28th 2014 as part of winning effort despite injuries to veteran leader Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili.

Anderson’s versatility has been key asset throughout his two full seasons with San Antonio Spurs when Coach Gregg Popovich relied heavily upon young players before signing LaMarcus Aldridge prior to 2015-16 season which saw Kyle see career highs across board averaging 5 points 3 rebounds 2 assists in 17 minutes per game over 75 regular season appearances while setting new single game bests when it comes to scoring 19 points on March 23rd 2016 versus Denver Nuggets . During playoffs ,he had multiple solid outings even though playing time diminished after Golden State Warriors series en route to second round exit from post -season play . The following year saw further improvements from him as part of deeper roster that featured additions such David Lee Pau Gasol Dewayne Dedmon , Tony Parker coming back from injury etc . 2017 -18 campaign proved once again how important versatile swingman can be especially if surrounded by talented veterans as experienced former champions like Leonard , Ginobili Parker & Co gave very valuable advice about league life away from hardwood floor into locker room & all those behind scenes moments making big difference eventually leading towards successful 58 win regular season run falling just short against eventual champion Golden State Warriors yet again..

Following stint with San Antonio that lasted four years , Kyle agreed upon three year contract worth $37 million dollars bringing him back home as Memphis native will now wear Grizzlies jersey at FedEx Forum stadium starting 2018 –19 campaign hoping better luck against reigning Western Conference titans awaits next spring after ending long drought without playoff appearance last April when they reached post –season courtesy strong finish down stretch helped out by addition Lowly Conley Jr who joined forces longtime fan favorite Marc Gasol ..
