Sergei Pavlovich is a Russian mixed martial artist who competes in the heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Born on June 1, 1994 in Krasnodar, Russia, Sergei was exposed to combat sports at a young age and began training judo when he was just five years old. He made his professional MMA debut in 2015 and quickly gained experience by competing within several European promotions. His success culminated with an impressive 11-fight win streak before signing with the UFC in 2018.
Upon joining the UFC roster, Pavlovich competed four times over two years with victories against Marcelo Golm and Maurice Greene. In December 2020, he faced Ciryl Gane at UFC Fight Night 183 for his fifth Octagon appearance and scored a first round knockout victory that earned him ‘Performance of the Night’ honors from UFC President Dana White. That same month he also signed an exclusive contract renewal agreement to remain under their banner for another three fights minimum term.
Pavlovich trains out of Brothers Gym located near his hometown of Krasnodar where he works hard alongside other great fighters such as Alexander Volkov and Magomed Ankalaev amongst others. His training regimen includes time spent both striking and grappling while working on all aspects of MMA including strength & conditioning as well as physical conditioning drills like roadwork running or swimming at least twice per week to improve endurance levels along with regular boxing/kickboxing/wrestling sparring sessions every day depending upon his schedule which revolves greatly around fight preparation camps prior to any upcoming bout announcement or booking date changes etc.
At 6’2” tall Pavlovitch has shown himself capable of using both reach advantage along with powerful strikes when standing up during bouts plus very good takedown defense which makes him dangerous even after being taken down as well due to skilled submission transitions & ground control if needed be able utilize them against opponents too should things go that route during any given contest matchup. Needless say Sergei is slowly but surely making waves within heavyweight division ranks today showing skillset potentials worthy enough already gaining recognition from fans alike across globe watching live broadcasts events happening worldwide too!
