Jinh Yu Frey is an American mixed martial artist who competes in the atomweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). She has been fighting professionally since 2011, and has earned victories over some of the best female fighters in the world, including former UFC champions Angela Hill and Michele Waterson.

A native of Conway, Arkansas, Jinh Yu Frey first began her combat sports career by training in kickboxing while attending college. After earning a degree from Harding University, she decided to pursue MMA full-time and moved to Dallas Texas to train with renowned coach Sayif Saud at Fortis MMA. During this period she competed primarily on regional circuits such as Legacy FC and Invicta FC before making her UFC debut in 2019.

Frey’s debut was a success as she defeated fellow top ranked atomweight contender Angela Hill via split decision at UFC Fight Night 144. This victory landed her a title shot against champion Michelle Waterson six months later where she came out victorious via unanimous decision earning herself both “Fight of the Night” honors along with becoming only the second person ever to be crowned Atomweight Champion inside the octagon following Seo Hee Ham’s win over Ayaka Hamasaki back in 2015.

Since then Jinh Yu Frey has defended her championship twice against Kay Hansen at UFC 255 successfully through doctor stoppage due to Hansen’s eye injury; And most recently dominated challenger contenders Ashley Cummins on June 5th 2021 for five rounds leading up to another unanimous decision victory cementing Freys place among elite fighters like Amanda Nunes & Weili Zhang as being one of few women who have held championship titles across multiple weight classes within MMEs most popular promotion – The Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC).

Outside of competing inside the octagon Fyre also works as an advocate for Domestic Violence survivors having worked alongside organizations such as “The Allstate Foundation Purple Purse Program” which helps raise awareness & provide financial education/liberation services for those affected by abuse & trauma all around America. Being an active member within various communities beyond just combat sports is something that sets Fyre apart from many other athletes compared amongst it’s peers resulting with being awarded Female Fighter Of The Year during 2020 by Sports Illustrated magazine honoring not only what she does inside but outside competition ring alike . It goes without saying that we can expect big things from Jinh Yu Frey going forward no matter what situation is placed ahead whether it be defending her rightful place atop atomweight class continuing advocacy work or simply inspiring people everywhere regardless if they’re male or female alike – That anything can be achieved so long as effort & dedication steps forward !
