Denise Gomes Kielholtz has established herself as one of the top female fighters in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. She is a Brazilian born fighter who currently competes in the flyweight division of UFC.

Kielholtz was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro on August 9th, 1990. Her mother immigrated to Brazil from Poland while her father was Brazilian-born with Dutch roots. She first started practicing Judo at a young age, eventually becoming part of the national team under legendary coach Murilo Bustamante. As she progressed into adulthood, Denise decided to try out different martial arts and ended up competing professionally in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).

In 2018, she made her professional MMA debut and quickly began building an impressive record with six consecutive wins over notable opponents including Celine Haga and Janaisa Morandin. In 2020, Kielholtz signed a multi-fight contract with UFC where she made her promotional debut against Maryna Moroz at UFC Fight Night 187. She stunned fans by winning that fight via first round submission, solidifying her place as one of the most exciting new prospects of women’s MMA today.
