Brunno Ferreira is a Brazilian mixed martial artist who competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He has been competing professionally since 2011 and currently holds a record of 14-4-1.
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on November 21st, 1990, Ferreira began training martial arts from an early age under his father’s tutelage. His father was himself a former Taekwondo black belt competitor and encouraged his son to strive for excellence. As such, by the time he was 13 he had already earned his own black belt in taekwondo.
In spite of this success, however, Ferrera decided to pursue MMA as opposed to remaining only within the disciplines of Taekwondo or Karate. After studying under various coaches at Team Nogueira—a legendary training camp—Ferrera made his professional debut shortly after turning 18 years old at Clube de Luta 2: Regresso dos Guerreiros where he won via technical knockout over Felipe Menezes with just 46 seconds into round one.
Afterwards Brunno continued fighting exclusively in Brazil and began building up a formidable resume that included wins over notable opponents such as Sérgio Souza Jr., Da Un Jung and Caio Magalhães while also earning Fight Of The Night honors during two separate events against Rhyan Silva and Gleison Tibau respectively . After amassing an impressive record of 11-2 with the majority of wins coming via stoppages he was signed by UFC officials in 2019.
Upon entering the biggest stage for MMA competition Brunno suffered consecutive losses against some tough opposition including fellow prospects Kyler Phillips & Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza as well as experienced veterans like Anthony Smith & Karl Roberson but ultimately bounced back impressively by defeating Marlon Vera via decision earlier this year . Now ~30 fights into his career and boasting two UFC victories , Brunno is beginning to come into his own both within The Octagon & beyond it . He hopes that 2021 will prove to be yet another successful year for him despite all adversities posed by COVID19 related restrictions so far this season & looks forward towards eeking out more victories inside The Octagon soon !
