Nursulton Ruziboev

BIOGRAPHY

Nursulton Ruziboev is a mixed martial artist from Tajikistan currently competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in the lightweight division. He began his professional MMA career in 2011 and went on to compete for numerous promotions, including ProFC, Pankration Amateur League, KSW, ACA and Road FC.

Ruziboev made his UFC debut in 2019 at UFC Fight Night: Kim vs. Ibragimov against Don Madge where he won via submission via an arm triangle choke. Since then he has gone 2-1 with wins over Darrick Minner and Yancy Medeiros along with a loss to Alexander Yakovlev.

Prior to joining UFC Ruziboev was one of the top prospects of All-Russian promotion Pankration Amateur League where he became their welterweight champion by winning five straight contests since 2018 including impressive victories over former Bellator competitors Artem Frolov and Vladimir Kanunnikov.

When it comes to training for his fights Ruziboev spends most of his time working on Muay Thai which includes practicing clinch work as well as knee strikes which are both useful techniques for him when fighting inside the cage or ring since he is usually fighting taller opponents who naturally have longer reach than him thus making it difficult for him to land any shots from distance so having good technique within close range is very important for someone like Nursulton if they want to be successful fighter today’s era of MMA competition which relies heavily upon technical ability rather than pure strength or aggression alone as these things can be negated by superior experience and skill set that one develops through hard work and dedication on regular basis.

Outside of MMA Ruzibuov also has a degree in Physical Education from University Gorno-Altaisk State Institute located close proximity Ufa city Russia were currently resides when not taking part international tournaments such as those organized by UFC organization itself though despite being native Tajikistani origin originally hails Moscow region cities Mytishchi otherwise known “Moscow Region” Russian Federation due family parents moved there during Soviet times operate local factory while still making occasional trips back home visit relatives friends alike whom still live nearby Central Asian country current day .
