BIOGRAPHY
Amanda Lemos is a Brazilian mixed martial artist and a current UFC fighter. She began training in judo at the age of 15, before transitioning to jiu-jitsu, and then eventually MMA. Throughout her career she has been extremely successful, becoming the Jungle Fight Bantamweight Champion in 2017.
Lemos was born in Manaus, Brazil on April 5th 1991. Growing up she had an interest in sports from a young age, particularly judo which was taught at her local gymnasium by her father who also competed professionally when he was younger. It wasn’t until she reached 15 years old that Amanda officially began training with her father’s guidance. Due to his assistance, it didn’t take long for Lemos to start competing; by 16 she had won multiple junior level regional competitions and become number one ranked judoka regionally within Brazil’s Amazonas state.
By 18 years old Lemos decided to make the transition into jiu-jitsu training where once again she flourished under the tutelage of her father and other great instructors around Brazil such as Professor Junior Souza who has been like an older brother to Amanda throughout her journey into MMA over the last five years or so.. In 2014 after two consecutive losses that marked a temporary setback for Lemos’s career, SOUZA took notice of Amanda’s obvious raw talent and abilities; soon enough he offered to mentor her and help guide Amanda through what would be some difficult times during certain moments of this period in Lemos’ life as an athlete.. After much hard work put into mastering jiu-jitsu techniques with support from Souza specifically related towards transitions involving submissions along with takedown techniques used successfully throughout fights against competitors – it only seemed natural for Amanda begin preparing herself mentally & physically entering professional mixed martial arts competition just shortly afterwards during 2015–2016 time frame while competing within smaller promotions / circuits (eSports).
In 2016 -2017 with consistent wins back on track ,lemons signed onto major promotion organization jungle fight – achieving champion status here at bantamweight division & thereby earning both respect & recognition necessary allowing entrance back door UFC late 2017 . Since then leaving behind 4 impressive victories including most recently 2020 fight against Randa Markos via split decision ;lemon continues provide inspiring story fighters all ages never giving up dreams despite set backs road ahead often consists difficulties . Currently enjoying relative success ufc ,amanda lemon(nicknamed mouse) hopes continue fighting strongly growing fan base worldwide .
