BIOGRAPHY

Livinha Souza, more popularly known as “The Brazilian Ninja” is a professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter who competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). She was born on August 11th 1990 in Fortaleza, Brazil and her full name is Ana Carolina Vieira. Growing up she was inspired by martial arts films such as Mortal Kombat and began training in Judo when she was only seven years old. She has also trained in Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai kickboxing and wrestling which eventually led to her pursuit of a career in MMA fighting.

Souza began her professional career at the age of 18 when she made her debut for Jungle Fight promotion against Camille Menezes where she won via unanimous decision. In 2011 after racking up an impressive record of 7 wins and 1 loss, Souza signed with Invicta Fighting Championships where she went undefeated during her 3 year stint collecting a total of 5 victories with 4 coming by way of submission. After making waves early on it wasn’t long before UFC came calling signing Livinha to their roster.

Since joining the UFC Souza has been unstoppable amassing an unblemished 6-0 record while facing some tough competition along the way including former title challenger Karolina Kowalkewicz whom Livinha defeated via submission at UFC 238 back on June 8th 2019 which earned “Fight Of The Night” honors from Dana White & Co. Aside from being an elite contender in mixed martial arts Livinha is also an accomplished endurance athlete having competed in multiple ultra marathons such as the Desafio dos Trilhos Ultramarathon with distances ranging anywhere from 50Km – 100Km distances over varying terrain that showcases all facets of physical fitness strength cardio etc., something you don’t really see amongst most fighters these days..

While competing professionally Souza still manages to find time to give back to others by teaching self defense classes for women who have been victims domestic abuse or any form assault . She firmly believes that every person should be capable defend themselves regardless if they are male female young or old noting that it’s not always easy but ultimately beneficial life saving skill set become proficient self defense techniques especially dealing confrontations arise unexpectedly..
