Alex Oliveira Bio
Alex Oliveira is a Brazilian mixed martial artist and former professional boxer, who currently competes in the welterweight division of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He was born on April 16, 1989 in Fortaleza, Brazil.
Oliveira has been competing professionally since 2010. He began his career as an amateur boxer with a record of 11-3, before transitioning to MMA in 2011. In 2013 he made his professional debut for Amazon Forest Combat (AFC), where he quickly rose to prominence thanks to five consecutive victories inside the cage. His success soon caught the attention of UFC’s matchmakers who signed him as part of their roster in 2015.
Since joining UFC, Oliveira has done nothing but power through opponents and make some serious waves within the promotion’s welterweight division; compiling an impressive 15 wins – 8 by KO/TKO and 5 by submission – against seven losses over 20 fights. Along the way, “Cowboy” has gained recognition from fans and media alike for his ferocity inside the Octagon and willingness to take part in any fight at any time; filling short notices when necessary or stepping up for teammates whenever called upon (as seen is 2017 when he offered himself as a replacement fighter after Mike Perry pulled out from a bout against Donald Cerrone).
Outside competition Alex Oliveira likes spending time with friends or family members back home in Fortaleza while also volunteering extensively within local communities around Brazil; particularly those dealing with underprivileged kids that are aiming to get into martial arts training or physical activities like boxing/MMA. Furthermore Oliveira often makes appearances at different charity events throughout South America collaborating with institutions such as ENVOLVA –a brazilian non-profit organization dedicated towards helping kids succeed through sports– among others listed here: https://envolvaesporteecultura1lgbtq+.org/.
Overall Alex “Cowboy” Oliveira can be considered one of MMA’s toughest competitors not only due to his skill set but also because of his generous spirit off-the-cage that always seems willing help others regardless if it calls for sacrificing personal gains or not completely focusing on training prior upcoming bouts; which ultimately reflects greatly on what type person Oliviera truly is deep down inside… A man full integrity whose greatest accomplishments aren’t just restricted fighting realms alone but also those achieved outside sport itself making him role model individuals everywhere should aspire emulate!
