Steve Erceg Bio

Steve Erceg is an Australian mixed martial artist from Perth who competes in the UFC flyweight division. He trains at Wilkes Martial Arts & Fitness Academy and holds a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt. Erceg began training in 2012 after becoming interested in grappling and combat sports, later working as a martial arts instructor before pursuing professional competition.

Erceg made his UFC debut on June 10, 2023, defeating David Dvorak on short notice. He followed that performance with victories over Alessandro Costa and Matt Schnell, then challenged Alexandre Pantoja for the UFC flyweight championship at UFC 301 in May 2024. The title fight was a competitive decision loss, but it established Erceg as a prominent contender early in his UFC career.

After later defeats against Kai Kara-France and Brandon Moreno, Erceg returned to winning form with a decision victory over Tim Elliott on May 2, 2026. He was subsequently stopped by Ramazan Temirov on July 25, 2026. As of September 15, 2026, the UFC lists Steve Erceg as an active flyweight. His style combines technical striking, leg kicks and submission-oriented grappling, including a preference for the guillotine.
