Born and raised in Gardena, California, Woods attended Junípero Serra High School where he displayed his athletic prowess in both track and field and football. In 2010, he enrolled at USC and played football for the Trojans. As a true freshman, Woods was a standout player with 65 catches for 792 yards and six touchdowns.
