He attended Walled Lake Western High School in Walled Lake, Michigan. There, he excelled in football, basketball, and track and field, shining brilliantly across all these disciplines, and showing the tactical instincts and physical prowess that would later become his trademarks as a professional athlete.

After high school, Jones was recruited by North Carolina State University, where his skills on the football field truly began to garner attention. In 2019, Jones was released by the Packers. While this setback could have been a significant blow, he remained undeterred, his determination and persistence never wavering. He signed with the Dallas Cowboys just 2 days after being cut by Green Bay, proof of his undeniable skill. However, he was ultimately released after requesting a trade.

Jones was again undaunted by this career setback. Demonstrating inspiring resilience, he inked a deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2020.
