Hunter Henry

Hunter Henry is an NFL tight end for the New England Patriots as of September 23, 2026. Born December 7, 1994, in Little Rock, Arkansas, he played at Pulaski Academy before attending the University of Arkansas. Henry developed as a versatile tight end known for dependable hands, route precision, physical toughness and willingness to contribute as a blocker. Arkansas recognized him as a decorated prospect, and he became the recipient of the John Mackey Award as the nation’s top collegiate tight end in 2015.

The San Diego Chargers selected Henry with the 35th overall pick in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He later joined the Patriots in 2021 and became an established part of their offensive identity, lining up in-line, in the slot and split wide. New England’s 2026 roster lists Henry as its top tight end, and the Patriots agreed to a two-year contract extension with him on August 10, 2026, keeping him under contract through the 2027 season.
