Eddy Piñeiro is an NFL placekicker for the San Francisco 49ers as of September 14, 2026. The 49ers’ current roster and depth chart list him at kicker, and the club agreed to a four-year extension with him in March 2026. Piñeiro is listed at 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds. He was born September 13, 1995, in Miami, Florida.
Piñeiro played soccer before becoming a football kicker, handling kickoffs and extra points in limited high-school football action at Miami Sunset. He later attended ASA College before playing two seasons at the University of Florida. At Florida, he served as both a field-goal kicker and kickoff specialist, earned All-SEC recognition, and left after the 2017 season to enter the NFL draft.
Undrafted in 2018, Piñeiro began his professional career with the Oakland Raiders. The Chicago Bears acquired him in a May 2019 trade, and his NFL path has also included the New York Jets and Carolina Panthers before he signed with San Francisco in September 2025.
