Adrian Amos Bio
Adrian Amos is an NFL safety and Baltimore native who was born on April 29, 1993. He attended Calvert Hall College High School before playing college football at Penn State. His college development included work at cornerback and on special teams before he moved to safety, giving him experience in different roles in the defensive backfield.
The Chicago Bears selected Amos in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft with the 142nd overall pick. He earned a place on the Pro Football Writers of America All-Rookie team that season. After playing for Chicago from 2015 through 2018, he joined Green Bay, which announced his signing on March 14, 2019. His Packers tenure ran through the 2022 season.
Amos signed with the New York Jets on June 13, 2023, and also played for Houston during the 2023 season. San Francisco announced his addition to its practice squad in October 2024 and released him on November 11, 2024. In an interview published March 5, 2026, Amos said he considered himself essentially finished with playing, while leaving open the possibility of returning for an exceptional opportunity. That distinction makes his own description more precise than an unqualified claim of formal retirement.
