Dalton Mosser Kincaid was born on October 18, 1999, in Henderson, Nevada, and is a name renowned in the domain of American professional football. A proficient player maintaining a strong position as a tight end for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL), Kincaid’s rise to fame has been extraordinary. The young talent has a substantial fan following not only in the US but also in Canada, as he is a dual citizen of the countries.

Kincaid spent his formative years deeply engrossed in athletics, with a particular penchant for playing basketball. As a student at Faith Lutheran High School in Summerlin, Nevada, he spent most of his high school years dribbling the ball down the basketball court, culminating in winning an Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Championship in his senior year. The athletic prowess that Kincaid displayed during these years was astonishing and indicative of the promising future that awaited him.

Surprisingly, football was not a part of Kincaid’s early sporting interests. He had played only a single season of high school football when some of his close friends persuaded him to try out for the team. However, once he stepped onto the field, it took him no time to prove his mettle. Within a season, Kincaid had accumulated an impressive record of 745 yards and eight touchdowns, earned all-state honors, and cemented his newfound passion for football. This prompted his decision to take a walk-on offer at the University of San Diego and dive into college football.

Under the University of San Diego banner, as a freshman in 2018, Kincaid showcased what he was capable of in the football arena. He achieved an impressive record of 374 yards and 11 touchdowns on 24 catches. His performance improved exponentially the following season, gunning in 44 receptions for 835 yards and eight touchdowns. Remarkably, Kincaid dominated all Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) tight ends in yards per catch. As a result of his exceptional performance, he earned an AP FCS All-American title and a revered spot in the Second-team All-Pioneer Football League.

In 2020 Kincaid sought new pastures and decided to transfer to the University of Utah. However, the unfolding global COVID-19 pandemic predicament shortened his first season at Utah, allowing him only five games. But Kincaid managed to make the most out of his limited opportunities, notching up eight touchdowns, 510 receiving yards, and 36 receptions in 2021. In the subsequent year, his performance dazzled again as he participated in 12 games with remarkable records of 70 receptions, 890 receiving yards, and eight touchdowns.

Kincaid’s breakthrough arrived when the Buffalo Bills of the NFL selected him 25th overall in the first round of the 2023 draft, following an advantageous trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He stood out as the only tight end chosen during the entire first round. On entering the professional realm of American football, Kincaid’s debut against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers charted a high note as he recorded his first career touchdown reception. In that winning game, he received five catches for 65 yards, registering a thrilling 24-18 victory.

His second touchdown would later come via a 22-yard reception in a razor-thin loss against the Denver Broncos. Achieving another milestone in his rookie year, Kincaid surpassed the Bills’ franchise record for the most receptions by a rookie, a record previously held by the legendary Sammy Watkins. During the intense game with the New England Patriots, which resulted in a 27-21 win for the Bills, Kincaid stood tall in his record-breaking spree. His debut year wrapped up brilliantly with him registering 73 receptions, 673 yards, and two touchdowns.

In a dynamic playoff debut, Kincaid was instrumental in the Bills triumphant 31–17 conquest over the Steelers in the Wild Card Round, scoring yet another noteworthy touchdown.
