Austin Johnson

Austin Johnson is an American football defensive tackle who played college football at Penn State and entered the NFL as a second-round selection by the Tennessee Titans in the 2016 NFL Draft. Tennessee selected him 43rd overall. Listed at 6-foot-4 and 314 pounds, Johnson developed as an interior defensive lineman capable of occupying blocks at nose tackle while also moving along the defensive front. He was raised in Galloway, New Jersey, and attended St. Augustine Preparatory School.

Johnson spent his first four NFL seasons with Tennessee before joining the New York Giants in 2020. He later played for the Los Angeles Chargers and signed with the Buffalo Bills on March 28, 2024, on a one-year contract. His playing style has been characterized by lower-body power, energy, pursuit and the ability to absorb blocks while contributing pressure from the interior. As of September 21, 2026, NFL.com lists Austin Johnson as an unrestricted free agent, so no current team should be identified without a newer signing or roster confirmation.
