Tobias Harris is a professional basketball player currently signed with the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born in Islip, New York on July 15th, 1992 and stands at 6’9” tall. Harris attended Half Hollow Hills West High School before enrolling at Tennessee for his freshman year of college. The Orlando Magic selected him in 2011 NBA draft with the 19th overall pick, making him the first player from his high school to be drafted into the NBA.

Throughout his eight-year NBA career thus far, Harris has played for multiple teams including Orlando Magic, Milwaukee Bucks, Detroit Pistons and Los Angeles Clippers before signing a five-year contract with Philadelphia 76ers in 2019/20 season. So far this season he has averaged 20 points per game while shooting 45% from beyond three point line which makes him one of Philly’s top offensive weapons. In addition to being an efficient scorer, Tobias Harris is also very active on defense as he averages 1 block and 1 steal per game while utilizing his length to protect the rim against opposing teams.

Off court activities are just as important to Tobias Harris as they are on court performance which can be seen through how active he is in giving back to community and helping those less fortunate than himself through charity causes like providing free eye exams for children or donating food during holidays such as Thanksgiving or Christmas time. His philanthropic efforts have earned him praise from numerous organizations including Central Florida Sports Foundation where he received Community Allstar Award for all work that he did within city of Orlando during time spent there playing for Magic organization.
