Malcolm Brogdon's Biography

Malcolm Brogdon is a professional basketball player who currently plays for the Indiana Pacers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was selected in the second round, with the 36th overall pick, of the 2016 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks.

Brogdon played college basketball at Virginia where he led them to an NCAA Tournament appearance and was named ACC Player of The Year in 2016. After spending his first three seasons with Milwaukee, Brogdon signed a four-year contract with Indiana worth $85 million during free agency in July 2019.

Born on December 11th 1992 in Atlanta, Georgia, Malcolm grew up playing multiple sports including track and field; baseball; basketball; and football at Greater Atlanta Christian School. It wasn’t until his senior year that he began to focus exclusively on basketball under Coach Eddie Martin at The Miller School of Albemarle before heading off to Virginia University for college. At Virginia, he majored in political science while being an integral part of their successful 2015–16 season leading them to 28 wins and becoming ACC Champions for only their fourth time since 1982. This success saw him recognized as one of three finalists for both Naismith College Player Of The Year Award and John R Wooden Award alongside Buddy Hield & Denzel Valentine respectively following a memorable final season averaging 18 points per game along with 5 rebounds & 4 assists per game despite missing out on both awards ultimately going to Hield & Valentine respectively

In June 2016 this success translated into draft stock as he was selected by Milwaukee Bucks around 30 picks later than predicted but there were no hard feelings as Brogdon would soon prove why this had been underestimated having what has been regarded as one of best rookie campaigns ever seen having shown consistency throughout his play which saw him named Rookie Of The Year en route to becoming just fifth person ever achieve such accolade whilst shooting 40% from 3 point range despite finishing 15th overall after starting last 22 games over course regular season registering 11 straight double digit scoring performances ending campaign averaging 10points/4rebounds/4assists per game .
