Julius Randle

Julius Randle is a professional basketball player for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born November 29th, 1994 in Dallas, Texas and grew up in Plano, TX. His parents are Carolyn Kyles and Larry Randle. Growing up he had two siblings – Chrystal Johnson and LaMarcus Randle.

Randle attended Prestonwood Christian Academy where he was a three-star recruit according to Rivals.com . During his senior year of high school, he led Prestonwood to its first state championship with an impressive 23 points per game average which earned him All-American honors from MaxPreps as well as McDonald’s All-American honors that same year.

In college Randolph played one season at University of Kentucky under John Calipari where he averaged 15 points per game with 9 rebounds per game , earning him SEC Freshman Of The Year honors during 2013–14 season . That spring following his freshman year Julius declared for NBA Draft entering 2014 draft where LA Lakers picked him seventh overall pick in the first round making him their highest selection since 1996 when they selected Kobe Bryant 13th overall He went on to become an immediate impact player for Los Angeles playing 81 games averaging 11 points 5 rebounds and 0.7 assists during his rookie campaign making it onto NBA all Rookie second team . Following four seasons with Lakers , Julius became a free agent signing 4 years 94 million dollar deal with New York Knicks starting 2018 season .

Throughout his career , Julius has been known for being an outstanding rebounder despite being undersized compared to other power forwards around league due mainly to excellent positioning and athleticism allowing him to be one of most consistent double double threats in league averaging 17 point 10 rebounds throughout 2019–20 regular season before ultimately leading Knicks into playoffs that same year shooting 35% 3pt clip only elevating those numbers further once playoff started against Hawks posting 24 point 13 rebound performance displaying wide range skillset including post play mid range shooting as well as drive & kick ability something rare amongst bigs around league today .
