Jaylen Brown is an NBA professional basketball player with the Boston Celtics. He was born in Marietta, Georgia on October 24, 1996. Brown attended Wheeler High School in Marietta where he excelled at both basketball and football. After a standout three-year career at Wheeler, Brown decided to pursue basketball full time and accepted an offer from the University of California Berkeley to play for the Golden Bears.
At Cal, Brown averaged 14 points per game over two seasons before declaring for the 2016 NBA Draft. He was selected by the Boston Celtics with the third overall pick and quickly made his presence felt for one of the most storied franchises in professional sports history. As a rookie, Jaylen started all 79 games that he appeared in during his first season and recorded 10 points per game along with 4 rebounds per contest as well as 1 steal each night out on average – making him one of only five players to ever record those stats (joining Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett, and LeBron James).
In his second year with Boston (2017-18), Jaylen improved even further averaging 14 points per game while also increasing his rebounding average up to 6 boards a night out – thus cementing himself as one of the better young talents coming off draft selections within recent years throughout all levels of professional basketball leagues worldwide. In 2018-19 he reached even greater heights when he improved yet again – this time jumping up over 16 points per outing while maintaining averages close enough across other metrics such as rebounds (6) assists (2) steals(1) blocks(0.5). This performance earned him All Star recognition for 2019 which marked quite possibly his best season yet during just his third year playing professionally!
San Antonio Spurs Coach Gregg Popovich commended him saying “He’s got extraordinary upside so far” after facing off against Jaylen earlier this past season as well — giving us only further insight into how talented this young player can be moving forward into what looks like it could be an extremely successful future career-wise!
Moving into 2020 now following another strong campaign alongside fellow star Kyrie Irving leading up until its suspension due to COVID19 protocols & restrictions; we should expect no less than greatness continuing coming from ‘The King In The Fourth’ – so named by Celtics fans after discovering a deft ability to put together dominating fourth quarters due largely in part probably because if not purely attributed solely back too ender/core strength training regimen lengths & regimens previously implemented prior too entering college at UC Berkeley… something that looks like it will continue paying dividends long term ahead here onward soon enough once play resumes again next fall here soon hopefully then again very shortly!!
