Derrick White

Derrick White is an NBA player for the San Antonio Spurs. He was born on July 2nd, 1994 in Parker, Colorado and attended Legend High School in Parker. He played college basketball at the University of Colorado – Boulder where he led his team to two NCAA tournament appearances during his four-year career. During his time there, he earned first-team all-conference honors as a senior and was named Pac 12 Scholar Athlete of the Year as well.

White was selected by the San Antonio Spurs with the 29th overall pick in 2017 NBA draft. In his rookie season (2017–18),he averaged 4 points per game and became a regular starter for them late that year due to injuries suffered by other players on their roster. The following season (2018–19) saw him take a major step forward when he averaged 9 points per game while shooting over 40% from three point range to help lead them back into playoff contention after several seasons without postseason success.

In 2019–20, Derrick White had a breakout season averaging career highs across multiple categories including 16 points, 5 assists and 1 steals per game while also making 43% of his 3 point attempts; helping propel San Antonio Spurs back into playoffs contention once more as they finished 7th seed in West Conference Standings that year . His performance earned him selection onto All NBA Defensive Second Team this past season – making him one of only nine players who have done so since 2010 .
