Chance Comanche's Biography

Born on April 14, 1996, Chance Kyler Comanche is widely recognized as a sterling personality in sporting circles. The 6-feet-10-inch former American professional basketball player is known for his imposing height and role as a power forward/center in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Despite being born into an ordinary family, Comanche’s drive propelled him into the spotlight, but his story also includes a regrettable fall from grace.

Comanche’s journey began at View Park Preparatory High School, where he demonstrated an obvious knack for basketball. Following graduation from Beverly Hills High School in 2015, his reputation grew increasingly impressive. He was a formidable player, averaging 20.1 points, 16 rebounds, and four blocks per game as a senior, helping his team win a Southern Section 3A title.

His talent on the court earned him a seat at the University of Arizona, where he played college basketball from 2015 to 2017. Following 60 college games, Comanche’s averages of 4.9 points and 2.8 boards per contest demonstrated his prowess in the sport. A significant turning point in his career came on April 8, 2017, when he declared for the 2017 NBA draft. Just a month later, he chose to forgo the last two years of his college life to stay drafted, placing all his cards on his basketball career.

However, Comanche’s dreams of playing in the NBA were put on hold as he went undrafted. This setback didn’t deter him, though. He decided to join the Drew League, a pro-am league, as a stepping stone to the NBA after not receiving an invitation to the NBA Summer League.

In November 2017, his commitment to the sport landed him a spot with the Memphis Hustle of the NBA G League. He made significant contributions, averaging 9.2 points and 5.4 rebounds in his first season. Comanche went on to be acquired by the Canton Charge in January 2019, where he played during the 2018-19 season but did not return for the following two seasons.

The ensuing period, starting in 2021, saw Comanche take on several commendable roles with different teams. He signed with the Enid Outlaws of The Basketball League, where he made an astounding score of 43 points in a single game. Eventually, he signed up with Ankara DSİ S.K. of the Turkish Basketball First League, where he was named the league player of the week and once again displayed his exceptional skill on the court.

Comanche seemed to be climbing his way back up into the mainstream basketball world when he was signed onto the opening night roster for the Stockton Kings in November 2022. He later joined the Portland Trail Blazers in April 2023, but his involvement was minimal, making only one appearance in the game against the Golden State Warriors with modest success.

But in October 2023, his professional career took a steep undermine when he signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Sacramento Kings, which was abruptly waived ten days later. He rejoined the Stockton Kings the following month but was eventually released in December 2023 following a sudden and tragic turn of events.

In a shocking twist, Comanche was declared as a “person of interest” by the FBI over allegations relating to the mysterious disappearance of a woman named Marayna Rodgers. Investigations linked his actions to the disappearance, originally reported on December 7, of the Las Vegas woman. It was later revealed that this terrible incident was planned during a game between the Stockton Kings and the NBA G League Ignite, with the Kings being in proximity to Las Vegas during their match against the Ignite.

Subsequent to his arrest in December 2023, Comanche was released from the Stockton Kings of the NBA G League. Authorities charged both Comanche and his ex-girlfriend, Sakari Harnden, in connection with the grave crime.

Regretfully, the accounts of their involvement in Rodgers’ demise became increasingly grim when her remains were discovered in the Nevada desert following Comanche’s admission to her murder. The severity of this revelation led to numerous legal challenges with the former professional athlete and Harnden facing a joint trial for murder, kidnap, and conspiracy charges.

In the face of mounting evidence against him, Comanche’s lawyer petitioned for the court to declare him indigent due to all the family’s funds going towards legal representation. As the trial edged closer, surprising news followed that the state would not be seeking the death penalty if Comanche was convicted. The trial date was officially set for March 10, 2025.

Despite his prowess on the court, Chance Kyler Comanche’s life took a tragic turn, and his tale serves as a somber reminder that talent and fame can be overshadowed by actions off the court. His life’s journey, going from an adored sports personality to an alleged criminal, continues to grip public interest.
