Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry is one of the most well-known professional basketball players in the world. He currently plays for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Curry was born on March 14th, 1988 to Sonya and Dell Curry – both former NBA players. From a young age he excelled at basketball and developed an impressive shooting ability that would later lead him to stardom. After attending high school in Charlotte, he went on to play college basketball at Davidson College from 2006-2009 before being drafted 7th overall by Golden State in 2009.

In his first two years with Golden State, he started slowly but steadily improved his game over time which resulted in him becoming an All-Star by 2011. During that season he also set a record for three pointers made which was previously held by Ray Allen with 269 threes made during a single season. The following year was even more successful when his team won its first championship since 1975 after beating LeBron James’ Miami Heat 4–2 in the Finals series.. This further solidified Curry’s standing as one of top point guards in the league and as his career progressed so did his shooting accuracy as demonstrated by breaking NBA records such as making 402 threes during the 2015–2016 season and winning back-to-back MVP awards that same year.

But it wasn’t just accomplishments on court that saw Steph break records; off field success followed too including being recognised twice consecutively as “Most Marketable Player” based off endorsement deals signed throughout 2014/15 & 2015/16 seasons where big brands such as Under Armour were keen to partner up with Steph given how popular he had become amongst fans around world due largely in part because of social media influence (Steph has 18 million followers across various platforms). Such popularity led Forbes magazine naming him ‘the World’s Highest Paid Athlete’ for two consecutive years between 2017 & 2018; something no other NBA player had achieved before him..

The combination of all these efforts have seen Steph achieve much success during his 10+ year playing career including three championships titles and six All Star appearances coupled with numerous awards ranging from “Sportsman Of Year” through to “Most Valuable Player”. In summary it can be said that Stephen Currys journey has been nothing short spectacular having undoubtedly cemented himself alongside some greatest athletes ever played sport!
