BIOGRAPHY
Caris LeVert is a professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association (NBA) who plays for the Brooklyn Nets. He was born on August 25, 1994 in Columbus, Ohio and attended the University of Michigan where he played college basketball.
LeVert began his senior year at Michigan with much hype as one of the top prospects in college basketball due to his athletic ability and skill set. His junior season saw him average 16 points per game on 45% shooting from three-point range, 4 rebounds and 3 assists per game on the way to All Big Ten honors. He also led Michigan to a surprising NCAA tournament appearance as they were unranked during most of his college career despite having two future first round draft picks on their roster.
Shortly after graduating from university LeVert was selected by Brooklyn Nets with 20th pick overall in 2016 NBA draft which made him an instant fan favorite because he was considered a steal at that spot based off what he had done previously at Michigan. As expected when a team drafts someone that low they don’t expect too much right away but Caris quickly made them eat their words as he contributed right away by averaging 8 points per game during rookie season while playing solid defense against some of league’s best players like LeBron James, Paul George and Giannis Antetokounmpo among others showing everyone why he deserved to be drafted so high coming out of college.
In his second season Caris elevated his play even further by increasing both scoring average and defensive presence which resulted into being named Eastern Conference Player Of The Week for week ending December 17th 2017, only second time ever such honor went out to somebody who wasn’t drafted within top 10 picks all-time greats like Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant got it many more times , proving once again how good value nets got out this pick . Injuries however hampered carus progress ever since then but he still been able manage stay every body healthy over summer months so hope remains high that we can see him back old form soon enough .
Even though injuries have slowed down LeVert’s progress significantly throughout these last few seasons nobody has lost faith in him yet since everyone knows what kind talent potential do possess if allowed stay healthy long term basis , Fingers crossed those days are upon us sooner rather than later undeniable fact is that whenever carris returns will bring lot energy passion field not mention unique set skills due impressive size athleticism combination makes virtually impossible guard when firing all cylinders .
