Raulian Paiva Bio
Raulian Paiva is a Brazilian mixed martial artist who competes in the flyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He made his professional debut in 2012 and has since acquired impressive wins against experienced fighters, including Ricardo Ramos and Zhalgas Zhumagulov.
Paiva was born on November 9, 1994 in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Growing up in an area with high crime rates, he found solace in martial arts as a way to not just stay away from trouble but also find personal development. At age 15 he began training BJJ and at 17 added Muay Thai to his list of disciplines. In 2010 he entered his first amateur fight, winning by TKO after only 68 seconds into the bout. From then on his career grew exponentially as he won several regional titles before turning pro three years later with a first round submission victory over Bruno Assis.
In 2015 Paiva decided it was time for him to take his career further and decided to join Jungle Fight MMA promotion where two fights and two victories cemented him as one of Brazil’s top flyweights prospects – particularly when both wins came by way of submission due to rear naked choke holds; earning Paiva both “Submission Of The Night” honors during those events..
Paiva continued to rack up wins while competing under Brazilian promotions until 2019 when UFC came calling – signing him that October via its Contender Series program where beat Mark De La Rosa via Unanimous Decision after three rounds inside “The Bubble” that serves Las Vegas UFC Apex Facility during covid-19 pandemic times: A win which earned Raulian another contract extension with the organisation afterwards; setting the stage for what would be an exciting 2020 so far for this prospect from Niterói who already holds impressive records like being Bellator’s gold medalist at their last Lightweight tournament (2020).
In 2021 Raulian finally had his official octagon debut against Rogerio Bontorin at UFC 256 event held December 12th where despite losing by Split Decision he still managed to impress many fans around Ufc fan base which makes us believe Paiva will become one more fighter we can count on representing our country proudly inside highest level MMA promotion there is today!
