Phil Rowe is a professional mixed martial artist, who has been fighting in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) since 2017. He currently competes at lightweight and is one of the most highly-rated featherweights on the roster.
Rowe began his martial arts career as an amateur fighter in 2009, when he started training in Muay Thai at a gym in his hometown of Grand Rapids, Michigan. After honing his skills for several years, he made his professional debut in 2013 and quickly established himself as one of the top fighters from Michigan. In 2016, he moved up to lightweight and racked up six consecutive wins over some of the best competitors from Midwest promotions like Fight Hard MMA and Victory FC. This impressive run caught the attention of UFC scouts and earned him an invitation to compete on Dana White’s Contender Series soon after.
In July 2017, Phil Rowe made history by becoming just the second fighter out of Michigan to be signed by UFC after defeating Nick Maximov via unanimous decision on Dana White’s Contender Series 3 episode 4 show. Since then, he has gone undefeated with three straight wins against Austin Arnett (split decision), Peter Barrett (unanimous decision), and Jared Gordon (TKO). His performance against these opponents earned him two Performance of Night awards during 2018-19 season that further cemented him as one to watch among featherweight division fighters.
Off-the-mat too Phil Rowe is making waves with some great initiatives such as helping underprivileged kids get access to quality education or mentoring rising stars through Masterclass or teaching seminars at renowned gyms like Tristar Gym Montreal or Team Alpha Male Sacramento California headquarters etc.. He also owns “Warrior Fight Gear” line which donates proceeds from sales towards providing meals for homeless people around Grand Rapids area where Phil was born & raised .
