BIOGRAPHY

Nasrat Haqparast is an Afghan-born German professional mixed martial artist. He currently competes in the lightweight division for Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Born on May 4, 1995, in Kabul, Afghanistan, Haqparast moved to Germany at a young age with his family and was soon introduced to martial arts by his father.

Haqparast began training in Judo when he was just six years old and had already gained national recognition by winning numerous tournaments as a teen. After being inspired by MMA fighters such as Georges St-Pierre and Anderson Silva, he decided to make a career out of the sport. In 2013, he began competing professionally in various European promotions including Rebel FC and German MMA championship.

Haqparast made his UFC debut on February 24th 2018 against Marc Diakiese at UFC Fight Night 127: Werdum vs Volkov. He won the fight via unanimous decision after three rounds of action packed fighting. Following this win, Nasrat went on a five fight winning streak that included dominant wins over Thibault Gouti, Joaquim Silva and Don Madge among others which earned him a “Performance of the Night” bonus twice during this period.

In August 2019 Haqparast faced Rafael Fiziev at UFC 242 where he suffered his first loss inside octagon due to doctor stoppage between round one and two because of severe facial swelling caused by Fiziev’s punches during first round . Despite losing this bout , it gained him much respect from fans for taking punishment without complaining or showing signs of quitting till medical staff stepped in . Subsequently , after two back to back victories against Alex Munoz & Joel Alvarez respectively he lost again via submission due to rear naked choke applied By Alexander Yakovlev at UFC Fight night 171 . Currently , Nasrat has 10-3 win/loss record while competing under banner of greatest Mixed Martial Arts promotion company named Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) .
