Joaquim Silva is a UFC athlete and Brazilian professional mixed martial artist. Born in Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil on July 29th 1992, he began his training at the age of 18 after being inspired by his father who was an MMA fighter in the northeast of Brazil. After dedicating himself to the sport and having a strong desire to make it as far as possible in this highly competitive field, he quickly developed into one of the most talented fighters on the planet.

He made his UFC debut at Fight Night 89 in Ottawa Ontario where he defeated Jason Saggo via unanimous decision. This marked an impressive victory for Joaquim as it was his first win inside The Octagon and also signified that he would be making a name for himself inside The Ultimate Fighting Championship organization. Since then Joaquim has gone 3-2 with two TKO victories over Vinc Pichel (2017) and Damon Jackson (2018). His only losses were via split decisions both times against Rustam Khabilov (2018) and James Vick (2020).

Outside of competing Joaquim is known for being very hardworking; always pushing himself to reach new heights every day when training or competing. He also displays a lot of passion for what he does which helps motivate him even more when taking part in any competition or event. Additionally, due to his excellent technical skills combined with great physical strength Silva has become one of Brazil’s most popular athletes; drawing crowds wherever they may be filming or fighting around the world thanks to their discipline and work ethic that they have become renowned for displaying while inside The Octagon.

In 2020 Joaquim had signed up with MMX Gym – run by Brazilian MMA legend Murilo Bustamante – so that he could continue perfecting his craft alongside some heavyweight names such as Wanderlei Silva and Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza doing full contact sparring sessions; thus allowing him further expand upon not just physical but mental capabilities too when going into battle along side other elite mixed martial artists from all four corners of Globe whenever they are called upon by The UFC.. And speaking out about how proud feels about representing MMA throughout Latin America & beyond: “To fight under this incredible banner [UFC] means everything to me – I feel like I am living my dream! And I plan on showing everyone why I deserve such honor.”
