Michael Morales is a professional mixed martial artist who competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He was born on October 5, 1977 and grew up in San Diego, California. He began his training at age 17 when he joined the Alliance MMA gym and eventually moved to Sacramento to train with Urijah Faber’s Team Alpha Male.

He fights at Welterweight division which is 170 pounds or 77kgs according to MMA standards. His fighting style consists of Muay Thai, boxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and wrestling.

Morales has had an impressive amateur career before breaking into the professional scene where he holds a record of 24 wins and 4 losses as of 2021. Most notably he won two amateur titles; one being two-time Golden Gloves champion for Middleweight Division in 2017 and 2018 respectively as well as taking home several other regional titles during his amateur days such as Rites Of Passage National Novice Title winner 2015/2016 respectively while competing at Light Middleweight Division.

In 2016, Michael competed on The Ultimate Fighter show where he defeated both John Smith and Eric Spicely before falling short against eventual tournament winner Kamaru Usman in the semifinals after suffering a broken jaw due to an illegal knee strike from Usman that resulted with him receiving a disqualification loss via doctor’s stoppage right after first round ended. With only six months rest Michael then made his official UFC debut facing off against Belal Muhammad but unfortunately suffered a split decision loss despite having strong performances throughout rounds one through three from what media outlets reported afterwards upon watching footage replay later on next day …

Despite this setback Michael continued pushing forward towards becoming successful inside octagon by stringing together four consecutive victories over “Platinum” Mike Perry (unanimous decision), Alex Morono (TKO elbow strikes), Curtis Millender (split decision) & Daniel Rodriguez (armbar submission). His current win streak puts him among top ten contenders within welterweight rankings which could potentially open doors for future title shot depending how situation plays out moving forward over course next couple years ahead if everything goes according plan outside octagon too while focusing solely on improving skillset inside it…
