Joe Pyfer Bio

Joe Pyfer is an American professional mixed martial artist, currently signed to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He competes in the middleweight division.

Pyfer was born on May 21st, 1996 in York, Pennsylvania. At a young age he developed a love for combat sports and took his first amateur fight at only eighteen years old. After two successful wins in his upcoming fights, Pyfer decided to pursue fighting professionally as a career.

In 2016 Joe trained consistently and competed on regional circuits taking seventeen consecutive wins without any losses over three years until turning pro in 2019 when he made his professional debut with Triton Fights against Ryan MacFarlane which he won by unanimous decision. This win earned him his first UFC contract where he fought Lachlan Giles at UFC Fight Night 164 back in November of 2019 and emerged victorious again by split decision.

Since then Joe has continued to have success within the octagon having recorded four more victories all by submission or knockout including notable names such as Dustin Stoltzfus, Phil Hawes as well as Kevin Holland most recently at UFC 261 back in April of 2021 via arm triangle choke submission victory inside one minute into round one earning him ‘Performance of The Night’ honors from the promotion’s president Dana White himself who stated “Joe Pfyer looks impressive!” As of June 2021 Pyfer holds an overall record of ten wins with no losses since turning pro five-years ago making him one of the most exciting fighters currently competing within the middleweight division today.

Outside of MMA training and competing Joe enjoys spending time outdoors fishing or hunting depending on season also enjoying activities such as hiking or camping every now and again too if possible. Alongside this when not training Joe can be found working out either lifting weights or doing some form cardio exercise followed by meditation afterwards to stay focused throughout each day both mentally physically ensuring that regardless if it’s fight night for competition time you can rest assured knowing that Joe will always be ready!
