BIOGRAPHY

Ismael Bonfim is one of the most well-known Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighters in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He was born on August 11, 1988 in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. As a child he showed an interest in martial arts and this led him to pursue a career as an MMA fighter.

He began his professional career as a mixed martial artist at age nineteen when he joined Brazilian Top Team. His first fight took place at Brazil Fight 2 where he defeated João Vitor by submission from a rear naked choke in just over two minutes. After that fight, Ismael continued to win numerous matches and gained recognition for being an excellent striker and grappler.

In 2011, Ismael signed with UFC after winning seven consecutive fights including winning the Jungle Fight Middleweight Championship title against Denilson Pimenta by unanimous decision. In his debut fight in UFC 152: Jones vs Belfort, he faced Chris Camozzi who was ranked no 8 middleweight fighter and won via TKO due to punches/knee strikes 1:27 into Round 1 which earned him Knockout of The Night bonus award also it was awarded Submission Of The Year by MMAFighting website . After that match Ismael cemented himself as one of the top contenders for the middleweight title belt but lost few fights due to injury layoff ,but managed to bounce back & currently holds No 12 rank according To UFC rankings .
Ismael has had some incredible wins throughout his career such as defeating Ed Herman at UFC 169 or Alberto Uda at UFC Fight Night 85 but he has been unlucky not have fought for championship belt yet despite being close enough multiple times . His style combines powerful striking along with strong grappling & submissions making him dangerous competitor inside octagon . He is known for maintaining calmness inside octagon even against toughest opponents showing great mental toughness & will power which makes him even more lethal combatant inside octagon along with technical skillset .

Beside fighting , Ismael is active philanthropist who is involved with many charities such supporting injured fellow athletes & helping orphans through donations , conducting seminars etc.,he also owns gym called “Bonfim’s House” based near Brasilia teaching kids how combat sports can help them staying away from drugs & other criminal activities plus providing educational support though scholarship programs run by himself out of pocket money earned through various sponsorships deals around world including Monster Energy drinks ,Venum Clothing line etc,.

Overall Ismael can be counted among those rare breed athlete’s who are legendary figure within their respective sports despite having not achieved ultimate goal(winning championship) yet because of dedication towards sport& general commitment towards improving combat sports scene globally which makes him true champion both inside ring & outside it too !
