Esteban “El Gringo”Ribovics

Esteban Ribovics is an Argentine mixed martial artist from Tartagal, Argentina, who competes in the UFC’s lightweight division under the nickname “El Gringo.” As of September 15, 2026, the UFC lists him as active. Ribovics began training for combat sports at age 12 following his father’s death and turned professional at 18. He attended university but left to devote himself to MMA. Before reaching the UFC, he won titles with FFC Peru and Samurai Fight House.

Ribovics earned a UFC contract through Dana White’s Contender Series in August 2022, where he stopped Thomas Paull. His Octagon debut came at UFC 285 on March 4, 2023. The UFC lists Kill Cliff FC as his training home and identifies him as a striker; its coverage has highlighted his pressure, sharp strike selection, willingness to trade and ability to make fast-paced fights. His recent UFC appearances include bouts with Terrance McKinney, Daniel Zellhuber, Nasrat Haqparast, Elves Brener and Edson Barboza.
