BIOGRAPHY

Elvis Brener is a professional mixed martial artist and former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion. Born in the Dominican Republic, Brener moved to the United States when he was just four years old. As a kid, he participated in various sports such as baseball, basketball, and football. It wasn’t until his late teens that he discovered his passion for MMA.

Brener began training at an early age under Joe Warren at American Top Team-New York where he excelled quickly. After winning several amateur fights, Brener decided to turn pro in 2008 and took on his first fight against Dale Hartt on June 19th 2008 which he won by TKO in the first round of action. This kicked off what would be one of the most successful careers in professional Mixed Martial Arts history as Brener followed up this win with six more wins including two KOs and two submissions over the span of three years before getting signed to UFC Fight Night 16 with a perfect 9-0 record where he scored yet another victory by submission over Dan Henderson’s protege Tom Lawlor

Once signed to UFC Fight Night 16 Brenner continued to impress fans around the world with dominant victories over well established fighters such as Kyle Kingsbury , Vladimir Matyushenko , Quinton Jackson , Lyoto Machida and finally Ryan Bader . His win vs Bader earned him an undisputed light heavyweight championship title which fueled his career even further leading him into co main event status for some highly anticipated bouts such as vs Rashad Evans & Russia’s Alexander Gustafsson .

Although Elvs has recently been away from competing due to injuries & other personal reasons ; He remains one of the iconic figures in MMA today alongside legends like Anderson Silva & Chuck Liddell – Even after all these years since making waves back at UFC fight night 16 !!
